19.07.10. Team Pedercini had an opportunity to meet with Kawasaki Europe last time out at Brno to discuss the 2011 schedule, especially concentrating on the new version of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. Team boss Donato Pedercini hopes to recieve the bikes as soon as possible in order to start developing the new Ninja on track. This will be an essential step foreward for the Italian team in developing the bike for the 2011 Superbike and Superstock championship.
13.07.10. Chris Vermeulen will sit out the remainder of the season after causing more damage to his knee when he crashed at Brno last weekend. The Kawasaki rider is to under go another operation to correct his already damaged tendons in his knee. Chris will now miss crucial testing on the new 2011 Kawasaki ZX-R10 as it's understood that he will be out for six months. The team will announce his replacement for the last four rounds soon.
11.07.10. Round nine, race two, Brno, Czech Republic, day three. Aprilia Alitalia rider Max Biaggi took a convincing win in the second race of the day at Brno in the Czech Republic. Biaggi took the lead form race one winner Johnny Rea in the early part of the race to eventually open up a gap of four seconds to take his tenth win of the season with Rea at distant second. Ducati Xerox rider Michel Fabrizio inherited third after a race long battle with BMW Motorrad's Ruben Xaus who pushed to hard with three laps remaining only to crash out. Britian's James Toseland who'd been battling a chest infection all weekend rode a strong race to hold off Ducati Xerox's Nori Haga for fourth. Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa had a better run this time out took sixth ahead of Alstare Suzuki's Sylvain Quintoli and Aprilia Alitalia's Leon Camier with Checa's team-mate Shane Byrne and Alstare Suzuki's Leon Haslam rounding out the top ten.
11.07.10. WSS. Round nine, race day, Brno, Czech Republic. Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider Kenan Sofuoglu has regained the lead in the Supersport World Championship after taking victory at the Brno circuit this afternoon. Early race leader Parkalgar Honda rider Eugene Laverty retired on the fifth lap due to a mechanical problem leaving Sofuoglu to fight it out with Kawasaki Motocard.com's Joan Lascorz where the Ten Kate Honda man would do enough to take victory. It was a good day for British riders Triumph BE1 Racing's Chaz Davis and InterMoto Czech Honda's Gino Rea who finished in a respectable third and fourth.
11.07.10. WSBK. Round nine, race one, Brno Czech Republic, day three. Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider Johnathan Rea took a convincing win at the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic making it his third win of the year for the Irishman. Rea virtually led the the 30-lap race form lights to flag and went onto to take the chequred flag some three seconds clear of Aprilia Alitalia's Max Biaggi with Sterilgarda Yamaha rider Cal Crutchlow in third. Alstare Suzuki's Sylvain Gunitoli had a great ride in fourth with BMW Motorrad's Ruben Xaus taking his best position of the year in fifth. Ducati Xerox rider Nori Haga did a great job to hold of Crutchlow's team-mate James Toseland for sixth with Alstare Suzuki's Leon Haslam taking eighth after starting from thirteenth on the grid. Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa struggled in ninth with DFX Corse Ducati's Lorenzo Lanzi in tenth.

Kawasaki Motocard.com rider Joan Lascorz denied his team-mate Katsuaki Fujiwara his first pole since 2003, as the Spanish rider produced a best time of 2'02. 800 seconds to take his second pole position of the year. Parkalgar Honda rider Eugene Laverty looked relaxed in third with Lorenzini Kawasaki's Fabien Foret completeing the front row in fourth. Ten Kate Honda rider Kenan Sofoglu will head of the second row in fifth and will be joined by team-mate Michele Pirro and British riders Intermoto Czech Honda's Gino Rea and Triumph BE1 Racing's Chaz Davies. Harms Benjan Honda's Robbin Harms and Parkalgar Honda's Miguel Praia complete the top ten.
10.07.10. Round nine, final qualifying, Brno, Czech Republic, day two. Sterilgarda Yamaha rider Cal Crutchlow took his fourth pole position of the season at the fast flowing circuit at Brno in the Czech Republic ahead of tomorrow's races. The Coventry based rider dominated the shoot-out session to proceed into Superpole where he blasted his way to a best time of 1'58. 018 second, which was three tenths under Troy Bayliss 2008 lap record. Aprilia Alitalia's Max Biaggi done a fine job in second with Ten Kate Honda's Johnathan Rea third and BMW Motorrad rider Ruban Xaus taking his first front row start for the German team in fourth. Alstare Suzuki rider Sylvain Quintoli had clearly found a better set-up than team-mate Leon Haslam to qualify in fifth, as Haslam struggled down in fourteenth. Joining Quintoli on the second row will be Supersonic Ducati's Luca Scassa, Ducati Xerox's Michel Fabrizio and Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa, with DFX Ducati's Lorenzo Lanzi and Sterilgarda Yamaha's James Toseland rounding out the top ten. The remaing British riders of Kawasaki's Tom Sykes, Aprilia Alitalia's Leon Camier and Althea Ducati's Shane Byrne qualifyed in twelfth, thirteenth and sixteenth.
10.07.10. BMW Motorrad rider Troy Corser has been forced to withdraw from racing this weekend for round nine of the World Superbike Championship at Brno in the Czech Republic after crashing yesterday in qualifying. Corser who took the full impact of the BMW on his chest was taken to hospital after complaining of breathing problems, but was later released after x-rays revelaed no damaged. A team spokesman said that Troy will be back in action for the next round at Silverstone in the UK in three weeks time.

Kawasaki Motocard.com rider Katsuki Fujiwara proved he was the man to beat on the opening of qualifying for round nine of the Supersport World Championship at Brno in the Czech Republic. The Japanese racer went on to set a best time of 2' 02.817 seconds ahead of current championship leader Parkalgar Honda rider Eugene Laverty with Fujiwara's team-mate Joan Lascorz third. Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Kenan Sofuoglu who normally is up at the front end of things ended his first day in seventh.
09.07.10. Round nine, qualifying, Brno, Czech Republic, day one. Ducati Xerox rider Nori Haga had a turn around in his performance today after taking provisional pole ahead of Sunday's races at Brno in the Czech Republic. Haga's best time of 1' 59. 277 seconds propelled the Japanese star to the top of the time sheets ahead of Sterilgarda Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow, while Haga's team-mate Michel Fabrizio who dominated the morning free practice session was third. Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa went onto to finish fourth ahead of race favourite Aprilia Alitalia's Max Biaggi and BMW Motorrad Ruben Xaus. PATA B&G Racing's Jakub Smrz quickly got to grips with the Aprilia after switching from the Ducati was seventh, eighth Ten Kate Honda's Johnny Rea with Sterilgarda Yamaha's James Toseland and Supersonic Ducati's Lucca Scassa rounding out the top ten.
27.06.10. Round eight, race two, Misano, San Marino, day three. Max Biaggi scored his fourth double of the season by taking the win some four seconds ahead of Alstare Suzuk's Leon Haslam and Ducati Xerox Michel Fabrizio in the second race of the day at Misano in San Marino. Britain's Sterilgarda Yamaha rider Cal Crutchlow held off a late attack from Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa to take fourth with Alstare Suzuki's Sylvain Quintoli notching up valuable points in sixth. Checa's team-mate Shane Byrne had a better run this time out secured seventh as Supersonic Ducati rider Luca Scassa got the better of the factory Ducati of Nori Haga for eighth while BMW Motorrad's Troy Corser had to settle for tenth after running off the track early on in the race.
27.06.10. WSS. Round eight, race day, Misano, San Marino. Parkalgar Honda rider Eugene Laverty moved back into top of the standing of the World Supersport Championship after a covincing win at Misano in San Marino. Laverty who took the lead from Kawasaki Motocard.com rider Joan Lascorz on the third lap proceeded to open up a gap of almost four seconds to take victory in the seering heat of Misano with Lascorz settling for second and Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Kenan Sofuoglu in third. Britain's Triumph BE1 Racing Chaz Davies secured more valuable points in fourth ahead of Bike Service Yamaha's Roberto Tamburini and Benjan Honda's Robbin Harms with Inermoto Czech Honda Massimo Roccoli seventh. Lorenzini Kawasaki's Fabien Foret took eighth with Parkalgar Honda's second rider Miguel Praia and Triumph BE1 Racing's David Salom rounding out the top ten.
27.06.10. Round eight, race one, Misano, San Marino, day three. Aprilia Alitalia rider Max Biaggi took his seventh win of the season after snatching the lead from pole sitter BMW Motorrad rider Troy Corser with nine laps remaining. Biaggi yet again kept his cool in the blistering heat of Misano to cross the line ahead of Corser with Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa getting the better of Ducati Xerox's Michel Fabrizio for third. Alstare Suzuki rider Sylvain Quintoli scored his best finish to date was fifth ahead of Biaggi's team-mate Leon Camier and Ducati Xerox's Nori Haga. After a poor start Alstare Suzuki's Leon Haslam battled with fellow Britain Althea Ducati's Shane Byrne for eighth with former two times world champion Sterilgarda Yamaha's James Toseland in tenth.

Pirro's best time of 1m 38.444 seconds knocked Parkalgar Honda's Eugene Laverty off the top spot to second with a brilliant ride from Bike Service Yamaha's Roberto Tamburini third with Kawasaki Motocard.com rider Joan Lascorz in fourth. Britiain's Intermoto Czech Honda's Gino Rea had his best qualifying position to date in fifth, sixth Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Kenan Sofuoglu, seventh Triumph BE1 Racing's Chaz Davies with Intermoto Czech Honda's Massimo Roccoli, Harms Benjan Honda's Robbin Harms and Lorenzini Kawasaki's Fabien Foret all qualiftying in the top ten.

Troy Corser has given BMW its first Superbike World Championship pole position after a stunning lap at the Misano circuit in San Marino. The BMW Motorrad riders time was five tenths clear of Aprilia Alitalia's Max Biaggi with Ducati Xerox's Michel Fabrizio and Sterilgarda Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow completing the front row. Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa will start from fifth ahead of the two Alstare Suzuki's of Sylvain Quintoli and Leon Haslam with Supersonic Ducati's Luca Scassa scoring his best qualifying position to date was eighth. Fabrizio's team-mate Nori Haga was disappointed to finish ninth with Ducati counterpart P&G PATA Racing's Jakub Smrz in tenth. The British contingent of James Toseland, Leon Camier, Shane Byrne and Johnathan Rea will fill out row four in 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th after under performing today.

Parkalgar Honda rider Eugene Laverty set the quickest time of the day at Misano in San Marino for round eight of the World Supersport Campionship. Despite a crash early on the Irish racer was able to set a best time of 1m 39.437 seconds ahead of Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Michele Pirro and Bike Service Yamaha's Roberto Tamburini with Pirro's team-mate Kenan Sofuoglu in fourth. Britain's Intermoto Czech Honda rider Gino Rea got off to a great start to finish fifth ahead of Kawasaki Motocard.com Joan Lascorz and fellow brit Triumph BE1 Racing's Chaz Davis and team-mate David Salom. The second of the Intermoto Czech Honda's ridden by Massimo Roccoli was ninth with Triumph BE1 Racing's Mathieu Lagrive in tenth.
25.06.10. Round eight, qualifying one, Misano, San Marino, day one. Sterilgarda Ymaha rider Cal Crutchlow blasted his way to provisional pole ahead of Sunday's races for the eighth round of the Hannspree Superbike World Championship at Misano in San Marino. The reigning Supersport World Champion set a best time of 1m 36.288 seconds ahead of BMW Motorrad rider Troy Corser and Alstare Suzuki's Leon Haslam with Michel Fabrizio being the fastest of the twin cylinder machines in fourth for the Ducati Xerox team. Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa ended his first day in fifth ahead of Aprilia Alitalia's Max Biaggi and Althea team-mate Shane Byrne with Supersonic Ducati's Luca Scassa eighth, ninth Aprilia Alitalia's Leon Camier with Sterilgarda Yamaha's James Toseland in tenth.
16.06.10. The Yamaha Sterilgarda Racing Team completed a two-day test at the Misano circuit in San Marino yesterday ahead of next week's eighth round of the World Championship. At the close of the test riders Cal Crutchlow and James Toseland were the fastest riders out on track each completing 90 laps each. Throughout the test the team tested some different linkages on the bikes along with a new cooling system. At the end of the test both riders were satisfied with their machines with Crutchlow being the quickest of the two with a time of 1min 36.02 seconds against Toseland's 1min 36.03 seconds.
Cal Crutchlow said : It's been a pretty good test us as the weather's been difficult either really hot of wet which has been challenging at times. Still, we managed to get down to the fastest times here and i did that on a used tyre which should stand us in a good start for next week's races. I'm looking foreward to getting stuck in again."
James Toseland said : We tried alot of new electronics, in all it's been a good test for us. I'm putting alot into the bike to try to find some extra time in the second half of the race and be more consistant. Everyone at Yamha is doing a great job but we're busy trying to catch up with the Aprilia's."
12.06.10. Following his dramatic crash during free practice at the Kyalami World Superbike round in 2009, Regis Laconi returned to an exploratory test to see his current state of form. The Frenchman has continued training on his mountainbike to remain fit, and after more than 70 laps at the Misano circuit he produced a best time of 1min 37. 800 seconds to prove that his talent is still intact. At present there is no indication if or when Regis will make a return to full time racing.
10.06.10. Czech rider Jakub Smrz has been testing the Factory BMW Motorrad bike at a two-day test at Mugello Italy. Early on in the year rumours were rife that Smrz was to replace current rider Ruben Xaus but these were quickly quashed when Jakub signed for the newly formed PATA B&G Racing Ducati team. BMW Motorrad team boss Davide Tardozzi was said to be impressed with the Czech riders times and at no point hinted that he would be joining the team. It's more than likely since the collapse of the Austrian Reitwagon Racing team who was fielding Andrew Pitt on the German machinery that the PATA B&G Racing team will be the BMW privateer team next season.
01.06.10. Leon Haslam who celebrated his 27th birthday last weekend quickly played down any bitterness after crashing out in race two yesterday and losing out to Max Biaggi in the title chase by 15 points.
Leon Haslam said : "These things happen in racing as Biaggi just got lucky, it's Carlos Checa who i feel sorry as all his hard work come to nothing. I know i pushed a little to hard in race two and paid the price but all i can do is be ready and fit for the next round in San Marino in three weeks time, which gives me plenty of time for my stitches to heal. The pressure is on Max now so all i have to do is focusing on beating him."
31.05.10. Round seven, race two, Salt Lake City, USA, day three. Race one winner Max Biaggi secured his second win of the day making his third double this year. The Aprilia Alitalia rider saw his closest rival in the championship Alstare Suzuki's Leon Haslam crash out leaving Biaggi to take the lead in the title chase by fifteen points. It was a double celebration for the Aprilia team as Leon Camier secured the runner-up spot with the Sterilgarda Yamaha of Cal Crutchlow third. Ducati Xerox rider Nori Haga showed some positive form to take fourth ahead of the BMW Motrrad of Troy Corser. Sylvain Quintoli was the sole Alstare Suzuki to finish took sixth while Althea Ducati's Shane Byrne and Hannspree Ten Kate Honda's Johnny Rea battled for seventh. Haga's team-mate Michel Fabrizio eventually crossed the line in ninth with the BMW Motorrad of Ruben Xaus tenth.
31.05.10. WSS. Round seven, race day, Salt Lake City, USA. Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider Kenan Sofuoglu extended his championship lead to six points after an impressive win at the Miller Motorsports Park in the USA. Parkalgar Honda rider Eugene Laverty finished over a second behind the race winner this time out with the Kawasaki Motocard.com of Joan Lascorz in third. The battle for fourth eventually went to Triumph BE1 Racing's Chaz Davies after a race long tussle with Sofuoglu's team-mate Michele Pirro. The championship stands at Sofuoglu 142 points, Laverty 136, Lacorz 128 points and Davis in fourth on 84.
31.05.10. WSBK. Round seven, race one, Salt Lake City, USA, day three. Aprilia Alitalia rider Max Biaggi took victory in the opening where an epic battle for the lead came to an abrupt end after Carlos Checa's Althea Ducati developed a mechanical problem forcing him to retire on the twenty first lap leaving Biaggi to take the win some five seconds ahead of Alstare Suzuki's Leon Haslam and the Ducati Xerox of Nori Haga. Biaggi's team-mate Leon Camier just missed out on a podium place took fourth ahead of the BMW Motorrad of Troy Corser who briefly led the race in the early stages. Althea Ducati's Shane Shakey Byrne beat Supersonic Ducati's Luca Scassa to sixth with the Alstare Suzuki of Sylvain Quintoli eighth, ninth was the Sterilgarda Yamaha of James Toseland with the second BMW Motorrad of Ruben Xuas in tenth.
