Round nine of the Hannspree World Superbike Championship as the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic played host to some amazing racing as an estimated 76,000 fans were entertained under the scorching Czech sun. Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider Johnathan Rea won race one after struggling mid season the Ulsterman produced a stunning ride to beat Aprilia's Alitalia's Max Biaggi and Sterilgarda Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow. Race two saw Biaggi take control of the race early on to take his tenth win of the season ahead of Rea by four seconds. Ducati Xerox rider Michel Fabrizio inherited third place from BMW Motorrad's Ruben Xaus who crashed out of the race with three laps remaining. Alstare Suzuki's Leon Haslam saw Biaggi extend his lead by sixty eight points after the Suzuki's rider struggled all weekend with grip, could only finish in eighth and tenth.
Race One. Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider Johnathan Rea regained his winning ways to take victory of Aprilia Alitalia's Max Biaggi in the scorching heat of Brno, with pole sitter Sterilgarda Yamaha rider Cal Crutchlow in third. Alstare Suzuki rider Sylvain Quintoli done well to fend of BMW Motorrad's Ruben Xaus to take fourth as Xaus was the sole rider this weekend for the German team as Troy Corser was ruled unfit after Friday's crash. Ducati Xerox's Nori Haga came under pressure from Sterilgarda Yamaha's James Toseland in the final stages of the 20-lap race, but done enough to hold the Englishman man off. Alstare Suzuki second rider Leon haslam struggled all weekend to find a decent set-up was disappointed with eighth, ninth was Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa with DFX Corse Ducati's Lorenzo Lanzi in tenth.
Race Two. Max Biaggi stole the lead from Johnathan Rea early on in the second race of the day, to eventually cross the finish line four seconds ahead of the Honda rider while Ducati Xerox rider Michel Fabrizio inherited third place from BMW Motorrad rider Ruben Xaus who looked to take his first podium for the German team crashed out with three laps to go. Sterilgarda Yamaha's James Toseland rode through the pain of a chest infection to take a well deserved fourth ahead of Ducati Xerox's Nori Haga and Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa. Alstare Suzuki's Sylvain Quintoli put in a strong performance to take seventh, eighth Aprilia Alitalia's Leon Camier, ninth Althea Ducati's Shane Bynre with a dejected Leon Haslam crossing the finish line in tenth.

Former Supersport World Champion Kenan Sofuoglu has regained the top spot in the championship after a convincing win for the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider at Brno. Sofuoglu took the lead from Parkalgar Honda rider Eugene Laverty who retired from the race after three laps due to a mechanical problem. Kawasaki Motocard.com's Joan Lascorz took second with the two British riders of Triumph BE1 Racing's Chaz Davies just holding off Intermoto Czech Honda's Gino Rea for third.
