Valentino Rossi said :

"We on the team are all happy with how this test has gone, especially on the second and final day where we were able to set a best time of 2m 0.008secs, it's a decent place to be at this point. The two Honda's and Yamaha's are still ahead of us, but we expected it at this time. The most positive things we've achieved are that the front now lets me ride a little more as i like. and the bike reacts well to changes and that we have very clear idea's on what's still missing. In particular, if we manage to improve the bike's behaviour on acceleration, we'll be able to take a consistent step forward."

Nicky Hayden said :

"Obviously, i'd like to have done more. I can't really say it was a real test foe me, but i did a few laps each morning in order to at least get a feel for the new bike, get a little data and understand a couple of things. Even in the limited time, i was able to make small improvements and go quicker each day."

Jorge Lorenzo - Position 1st - Time 1.33 .7 - Laps 60
"It's been a little more difficult here than Brno, which is a very fast track. Misano is quite a bit slower so the difference between the 800 and the 1000 is much smaller. It's difficult to understand the riding style you must use straight away. We've been working on the electronics to help the braking area, but mainly getting used to the riding style. I'm excited about the future."

Ben Spies - Position 2nd - Time 1.34 .3 Laps 74
"We rode the same bikes as we did at Brno but we changed a bunch of things and started working on the electronics. Misano is a much more physical circuit than Brno, it's tight and twisty with plenty of rear tyre spinning. It's fun to ride but much more physical than the 800. I enjoyed it a lot and we went quite fast on it, getting some pretty good lap times. We've got a lot of new data for the engineers to go away and work with for next year. I have a really good feeling for this bike for 2012".
